Credit Manager: Debtor Finance, Trade Finance and Forex

Finance, Gauteng JHB - Northern Suburbs Market Related CTC - Market Related CTC Monthly Our client, a leading financial services provider based in Waverly is looking for a Credit Manager to assist sales with the preparation of credit applications and attending regular client visits an manage credit risk by assessing new applications for credit facilities and reviewing applications of existing clients’ credit facilities. In order to be considered the following is required: Bachelor of Commerce or similar qualification Minimum five years’ credit business finance experience (in mainly the SME Sector) Minimum three to five years’ experience in Trade and/or Debtor and/or Capital Equipment Finance as a credit mandate holder will be an advantage The responsibilities of the role will include: Comply with the requirements of the credit policy and SARB regulations Assessment and approval of all extensions, repayments and security alterations in terms of the mandate structure Monitor adherence to the terms and conditions of approved facilities Monitor the recovery of problem accounts Monitor outstanding securities and conditions Identify abnormal risks and categorise clients as high care when necessary Maintain bad debts within the banks’ target Attend daily credit meetings with the CEO as well as the monthly high care and problem account meetings Assist sales with the presentation of deals at the daily credit meetings Assist sales with the preparation of new applications and annual reviews Understand the revenue and cost drivers of each company within the portfolio Assess and exercise a joint mandate on new applications, annual reviews and ad hoc credit applications Process credit approvals through to the final signed approval document Risk manage a portfolio of clients Take appropriate action when an existing client shows signs of distress Assist the Legal Manager in maximising the recovery of terminated problem accounts Assess field survey reports to determine if further action is necessary Submit new applications, reviews and amendment requests to the appropriate board committee andinsurers on facilities that require board committee approval Contribute to training within the department on specific subjects Visit clients from time to time with sales employees to obtain a better understanding of a client’s business within the portfolio Other ad hoc tasks that may be delegated by management relating to the job or the department Information displayed above not limited to advertisement.
